Escalating war in Europe is exposing fissures in the NATO alliance, which could further undermine the security of the continent.

NATO alliance of the unwilling optics is no deterrence.

What was the purpose of backing Ukraine against a Russian invasion if the latter had an overwhelming military advantage and the top brass knew very well that Ukraine would be defeated?

The escalating war in Europe is fuelling Russian militarism and exposing a weakness in NATO, a military alliance that was supposed to oppose it

Military alliances of states have limitations because when faced with an existential threat, they will always act in their self-interests.

It is not morality that determines a State’s foreign policy but what policy best serves the interests of a nation.

The escalating war in Europe reveals a rift among NATO heavyweight members

French President Macron’s refusal to rule out the prospect of sending Western troops to Ukraine was intentional despite the friction it has provoked.

“These are sufficiently serious issues; every one of the words that I say on this issue is weighed, thought through and measured,” Macron said to reporters on the sidelines of a visit to the 2024 Olympic village near Paris.

But Macron’s proposal to send troops to Ukraine, which would inevitably escalate the war in Europe and lead to WW3 declared, was not in lockstep with other NATO members.

The US, UK and Germany unanimously agreed to send no troops to Ukraine, even though there is chatter that special forces have already been fighting Russian forces in Ukraine under stealth since war broke out two years ago.

“There will be no ground troops, no soldiers on Ukrainian soil who are sent there by European states or NATO states,” said German Chancellor Scholz.

Russia’s reaction to the declaration of sending Western troops to fight in Ukraine was predictable.

“They would meet the same fate as Napoleon’s army,” said the speaker of Russia’s lower house of parliament.

A direct conflict between NATO and Russia would be inevitable if the alliance sent combat troops. “In this case, we need to talk not about probability, but about the inevitability (of conflict),” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

The escalating war in Europe, WW3, and the theatrics

The public NATO member bickering over sending troops could all be a sideshow. Meanwhile, the US is beefing up troops by over 100,000 near the front in readiness for a potential, maybe even wider escalation of the war in Europe. Most US military bases in Europe are in Germany, which has been an occupied US territory post WW2. In other words, Germany will take its order from Washington. The EU is not much more than the US CIA’s creation for the US Empire to manage its colonies.

“The battle for global hegemony is underway”

The Ukraine war could be just round one of a wider escalating war in Europe, leading to WW3

There are comments like, it takes a type of stupidity to back a war you cannot win. But the top Brass graduating from the UK’s Sandhurst and the US’s West Point, advising their political puppets, are not stupid.

The anticipated fall of Ukraine might not be the end of the war, but the beginning of WW3 being officially declared. Conscription being openly discussed a month ago by NATO members is no coincidence. The Ukraine war in 2024 could be like 1942 during WW2. Europe’s big war doesn’t end in Ukraine. It starts in Ukraine. Russia has been baited into a war that no sane or sound mind European wants, keeping in mind the bloody history of WW1 and WW2. Queen Ant is sacrificing her colonies to retain the throne. Super Powers will act in their self-interests. If the US has to turn Europe into a battlefield to keep the US dollar on the throne, then, in the words of Nuland, “Fuck the European Union.”

Escalating wars, WW3 and investing

The battle for global hegemony is underway. Conflict is spreading to nearly every corner of the world as the US  scrambles to enforce its unilateral rules of the game. An Empire under threat has itchy fingers and will eagerly fight for treasure, particularly if it can fight with the hands of others and avoid spilling its blood. The US’s ballooning public deficit is unsustainable; the Fed Chair knows it, and bond investors know it. The public deficit is the US’s Achilles heel. If Europe were to pivot to the East, away from the US-centric sphere of influence that could be an existential threat to the US dollar as world reserve currency. The Ukraine war for the US and its reserve currency, the USD is like the 1956 Suez Crisis for Britain and GDP, where Britain lost its geopolitical sphere of influence.

GDP, once a world reserve currency, has been on a steady decline ever since then.

“War is inflationary and already capital is moving away from public assets to private assets” – Wealth Training Company

Escalating war in Europe is likely to continue because both superpowers are frightening an existential threat

Russia WW3 is about defending sovereign integrity, for the US it is defending US dollar hegemony.

War is inflationary and already capital is moving away from public assets to private assets.

The debasement of the currency due to large public deficits to fund the war effort leads to high inflation and scarcity.

Bond yields could keep going higher without the central bank’s quantitative easing.

The potential for even greater capital flows out of bonds into stocks and commodities could continue, and if so the melt up in these asset prices could go higher.

The oldest safe haven asset precious metals could continue heading higher in times of escalating war in Europe.

Portable assets and cryptocurrencies could see huge demand, particularly in the worst-case scenario where escalating war in Europe leads to a limited nuclear war. The very worst case scenario is not worth writing about.
